Chapter 1 Introduction
Rear Panel
The rear panel of the Modem contains four ports (Phone, USB, Ethernet, and
Power), as well as an On/Off switch and Reset button.

Phone Port
The Phone port is used to connect the Modem to a phone jack.
USB Port
The
USB port is used to connect a computer to the Modem via USB cable.
Ethernet Port
The Ethernet port is used to connect a computer to the Modem via Ethernet
cable. The Ethernet port is a
10/100 Mbps auto-sensing port, and either a straight-
through or crossover Ethernet cable can be used when connecting to the port.
