The next step of the initial HANDHELD set-up will be to set the engine
Idle Target RPM. The initial setting is 800 RPM.
This concludes the initial phase of the Qfi HANDHELD controller setup.
The next stage will be setting the engine’s timing for SPARK CONTROL
IGNITION SYSTEMS - i.e. MSD and other capacitive discharge ignition -
CDI - systems.
STEP 3 - SETUP ENGINE TIMING
1. Return to the HANDHELD Controller’s HOME SCREEN, and select
“Timing Setup”
2. The first screen will be for Max Advance RPM. Set at 3000 RPM.
3. Set the Idle Timing Advance. Set at 15.0 (degrees).
4. Set the Total Timing Advance. Set at 30.0 (degrees).
