SUBTITLES (DVD ONLY)

You can display the subtitles on the screen when playing DVDs
which contain them. You can also change the subtitle language if
more than one is available.

Press SUBTITLE ON/OFF during play.

The subtitles will be displayed.

To turn off the subtitles

Press SUBTITLE ON/OFF again.

NOTE

• If you press SUBTITLE ON/OFF when playing a disc without

subtitles, the

symbol is displayed.

• Some discs have subtitles on by default. With such discs,

SUBTITLE ON/OFF may not allow you to clear the subtitle
display.

To change the subtitle language

Press SUBTITLE SELECT to select the desired subtitle language.

NOTE

• The subtitle language can be changed only if the disc contains

more than one subtitle language. The number of available subtitle
languages varies with the disc.

• The subtitle language first displayed is specified by the subtitle

setting and can be changed (see "SUBTITLE LANGUAGE", page
42). If the preferred subtitle language is not available on the
disc, the disc will determine which subtitles are shown.

• It may take some discs a few moments after you press SUBTITLE

SELECT until the new subtitles are displayed.

CHANGING AUDIO TRACKS (DVD ONLY)

Some DVDs have more than one audio tracks, such as soundtracks
in different languages. You can change the audio track when playing
such discs.
For selection of audio tracks for Karaoke DVD discs, see "USING
DVD KARAOKE DISCS", page 35.

Press AUDIO SELECT during play.

Each time you press the button, the audio track will change.
