Danger!

There is danger of injury while working at
the equipment.. Concerning all works

disconnect the input water, close the
water supply,

disconnect the power supply, shut off
the customer emergency main switch,
and secure, that it can not be turned on.

danger of injury because of possible dam-
aged parts of the high pressure jet, danger
of burns because of hot equipment parts..
When working, while the equipment is open
take special care, and obey all safty notic-
es!.
The following parts are possible to be hot-
ter than 50 °C:

Exhaust pipe and exhaust opening (on-
ly HDS-C 7/11, HDS-C 9/15)

Burner with continuous heater (only
HDS-C 7/11, HDS-C 9/15)

cylinder head of the high pressure
pump

high pressure hose

Operator
Performances containing the notice
"operator" may only be performed by in-
structed individualls, who are able to
operate and service high pressure
equipment.

Electrician
Individuals with an education in the
electric field.

Maintenance
Performances with the notice "mainte-
nance" may only be performed by the
Kärcher- Maintenance-Mechanics.

1 “Ready for use” indicator lamp
2 HDS-C 7/11, HDS-C 9/15:

Indicator lamp burner failure
HDS-C 8/15 E:
Indicator lamp for heating is activated

The exhaust temperature limiter has been
triggered.

Open the hand-spray gun until the plant has
cooled down. Unlock the exhaust temperature lim-
iter.

Operator

Fuel filter choked.

Clean fuel filter.

Operator

Photo-cell flame monitoring device has been
set wrongly or is defective.

Check the correct positioning of the photo-cell.

Operator

Failure of hte fuel pump or the fuel solenoid
valve.

Check parts and replace defective parts.

Customer
Service

Only HDS-C 7/
11, HDS-C 9/15:
Indicator lamp
Burner fault
glows

Same events that causes the indicator lamp to
blink. Control has aborted after 4 start at-
tempts.

Take the same corrective action as for blinking in-
dicator lamp. Further, to reset the controls: Switch
off the main switch, wait briefly and switch on the
main switch again.
