8. Reinstall the hard disk drive fan bracket if removed.

9. Reinstall the front bezel.

Replacing the keyboard

Attention: Do not open your computer or attempt any repair before reading and understanding the “Important safety

This section provides instructions on how to replace a keyboard.

To replace a keyboard:

1. Locate the keyboard connector. See “Locating controls and connectors on the front of your computer”

on page 4 or “Locating connectors on the rear of your computer” on page 5.

2. Disconnect the failing keyboard cable from the computer.

3. Connect the new keyboard cable to one of the USB connectors.

4. Go to Chapter 4 “Completing the parts replacement” on page 45.
