Step 8. Connect the cables to the new LED panel.
Step 9. Align the 4 mounting holes on the LED panel brackets with the holes in the chassis and secure
it with the 4 screws.
Step 10. Reattach the EMI cover, back deco, the computer cover and computer stand.
Replacing the IR emitter
Note: Turn off the computer and wait 3 to 5 minutes to let it cool down before removing the cover.
Note: It may be helpful to place the computer face-down on a soft flat surface for this procedure. Lenovo
recommends that you use a blanket, towel, or other soft cloth to protect the computer screen from scratches
or other damage.
To replace the IR emitter:
Step 1. Remove the computer cover. Refer to “Removing the computer cover”.
Step 2. Remove the back deco. Refer to “Removing the back deco”.
Step 3. Remove the computer stand. Refer to “Removing the computer stand”.
Step 4. Remove the EMI cover. Refer to “Removing the EMI cover”.
Step 5. Remove the LED panel. Refer to “Replacing the LED panel”.
Step 6. Push the pins that secure the IR emitter to the chassis and slide it out to remove.
Step 7. Disconnect the IR emitter data cable from the motherboard.
