Screen icons & alert tones

MUTE
Ringer off.
MUTE Microphone is muted.
NEW Missed and un-reviewed calls.
Screen icons
Battery charging (animated display).
Low battery (flashing); place handset in telephone
base to recharge.
Speakerphone is in use.
New voicemail messages are received.
Two short beeps
The volume level is at the maximum or minimum setting.
Handset alert tones
Four short beeps Low battery warning.
Two beeps Out of range from the telephone base while on a call.
Confirmation tone Command completed successfully.
Indicator lights
CHARGE/IN USE
On when the cordless handset is properly posi-
tioned to charge in the telephone base.
Flashes during an incoming call’s ringing.
Flashes when the handset is in use, or when
another telephone is in use on the same line.
SPEAKER
On when speakerphone is in use.
VOICEMAIL
Flashes when there are new voicemail
(requires voicemail service from your local
telephone company).
