Virtualization Technology

Virtualization Technology sets enable or disable of the Intel Virtualization
Technology installed in the CPU.

Intel Virtualization Technology is the technique that allows one machine to
operate as multiple virtual machines.

The Disabled command does not allow use of the Intel Virtualization
Technology.

The Enabled command allows use of the Intel Virtualization Technology.

Enhanced C-States

This feature enables or disables the Enhanced C-States.

Execute-Disable Bit Capability

This setting, which is displayed on the first page of the setup screen,
configures the Execute-Disable Bit function of the computer’s processor.
This function is specific to Intel

®

processors and, when activated, helps to

reduce security threats to the computer by preventing certain classes of
malicious “buffer overflow” attacks when combined with a supporting
operating system such as Windows Vista™.

LCD Display Stretch

Select the display function of the computer’s display panel.

The Virtualization Technology is supported with some models.

Enabled

Enables Virtualization Technology.

Disabled

Disables Virtualization Technology (Default).

Enabled

This lowers the power consumption (Default).

Disabled

This does not lower the power consumption.

Available

Makes the processor’s Execute-Disable Bit
Capability available for use (Default).

Not Available

Disables the processor’s Execute-Disable Bit
Capability so that it is not available for use.

The LCD Display Stretch is supported with some models.

Enabled

Display modes with low resolution are stretched
and displayed (Default).

Disabled

Display modes with low resolution are not
stretched and displayed in their original state.
