◆ To empty the shell, carefully remove the silicone Backing Cushion
and pour the breast milk into a sterilised bottle or VIA Cup. Place in a
fridge or freezer as soon as possible after collection. Breast milk can be
stored for up to 48 hours in the fridge (not in the door) or 3 months
in the freezer.
◆ Wash all items thoroughly after use.
NB:

It is recommended not to wear breast shells for longer than

40 minutes at a time as they may cause undue pressure on the milk ducts.

◆ To relieve engorgement immediately prior to feeding, you can
also use the Philips AVENT ISIS Breast Pump to express a small
amount of milk to soften the breast and allow your baby to latch on.
◆ To allow you to continue breastfeeding without pain, even with
sore or cracked nipples, use the AVENT Nipple Protectors.
The soft, odourless, ultra fine silicone protects the nipple whilst the
unique cut away shape still allows skin to skin contact with your baby.
◆ If you have flat or inverted nipples, use the AVENT Niplette

for a

few minutes just before feeding, to pull the nipple out and allow your
baby to latch on.The AVENT Niplette can also be used to effect a
permanent cure after you have stopped breastfeeding.
