RTCSmp Built-In Temperature Controlled Hold-Line

Part # 4532287 Rev 4 (6/10/14)

21

Size

The RTCSmp HOIN800/1600/2400/3200 models are designed to work with induction suitable serving pans in
standard or GN (Gastronorm) sizes such as 1/1, 2/4, 1/2, 2/3, and 1/3. For optimal results, Garland has carefully
selected a range of special GN (Gastronorm) serving pans for purchase. Please contact your dealer for details.

Do not use oversized pans on the induction unit. The bottom of the pan must fit the glass. When a hot,
oversized pan covers the silicone joint underneath, the heat from the pan may dry out the silicone overtime
and cause this water tight seal to break. The induction unit may fail eventually due to penetration of liquid
through the broken silicone seal.

6.2

Proper Placement of Serving Pan

Each Heat Retaining Plate of the RTCSmp HOIN800/1600/2400/3200 models is considered to be one heat-zone.
Each heat-zone is equipped with the latest RTCSmp sensor technology which enables temperature controls in
realtime. To obtain optimal results from the sensors, you must place the pan within the perimeter of the glass-top.

CAUTION

A single pan must not cover more than one glass-tops. The bottom of the
pan must fit the glass. Otherwise, electronic components of the induction
unit can be damaged.

DO

Place pans within the perimeter of the
glass-tops.

DO NOT

A. Place a pan over two hobs.

B. Place part of a pan outside the hob.
