7. Cleaning and maintenance
Maintenance activity daily weekly monthly every

Lubricate reagent bottle O-rings

Wipe dry retort and lid

after completing retort clean cycle.
Clean exterior of instrument

with soft cloth and minimal
amount of xylene.
Check retort strainer

for any tissue or wax debris.
Remove residual paraffin

from inner surface of wax bath lid.
Inspect and, if necessary,

clean retort lid seal.
Inspect and, if necessary,

adjust paraffin levels.
