The pulse width bias factor is used when the valve moves faster in one direction than the other for the
same pulse width. It has the following effect on the output.

Bias factor = 1.0

Mark-space ratio = IO input

Bias factor < 1.0

‘Closing’ pulse ratio is multiplied by bias factor. ‘Opening’ pulse ratio is

unaffected.

Bias factor > 1.0

‘Opening’ pulse ratio is divided by bias factor. ‘Closing’ pulse ratio is

unaffected.

A bias factor of 2 will result in an opening output pulse width of 50% for an input of 100%. A bias factor
of 0.5 will result in a closing output pulse width of 50% for an input of -100%.
