1. Start FactoryTalk ViewPoint Administration from Start > All Programs >
Rockwell Software > FactoryTalk ViewPoint > FactoryTalk ViewPoint
Administration or from the desktop shortcut.
2. The web browser connecting to FactoryTalk Viewpoint Administration presents a
message to install Microsoft Silverlight if it is not already installed. To begin,
click the Click to Install button.
3. In the File Download - Security Warning dialog box, click Run.
4. After Silverlight.4.0.exe finishes running, in the Internet Explorer - Security
Warning dialog box, click Run.
5. In the Install Silverlight 4 graphic, click Install now.
6. After the software finishes installing, if the Enable Microsoft Update graphic is
presented, click Next, and then click Close. Otherwise, simply click Close.
The user installing Microsoft Silverlight 4 must have administrative rights in Windows.
If you have problems, contact your System Administrator or try logging on to Windows
as a different user.
If the FactoryTalk ViewPoint Administration Home page or the web application’s initial
display does not open, either press F5 to refresh the web browser, or close and then
reopen the browser.
