1. Bolt the pump guard bracket to the over-center pump bracket. The bracket

should be installed at the pump end of the long, adjustable slot through the

middle of the over-center bracket (see Figure 3.4A). Two washers should be

placed between the pump guard bracket and the over-center bracket so that

the angle of the bracket may be adjusted to the belt.

2. Attach the pump guard to the pump guard bracket (see Figure 3.4B). Align

the pump guard with the belt that runs between the pump and the engine.

The pump guard bracket may need to be adjusted to achieve the appropriate

angle. Ensure that there is adequate clearance between the belt and the

pump guard in both released and unreleased positions.

NSTALLATION

1. The reservoir must be mounted so that the oil level remains above the pump

(Figure 3.5). To reduce weight at the intake end, mount the tank as close as

possible to the axle of the grain auger.

Note:

Type A automatic transmission oil or a synthetic 0 weight oil is recommended
because they take less power to operate and stay thinner in colder temperatures.

2. Weld reservoir brackets to the frame of the auger (bolt on for Wheatheart

augers). The brackets are slotted to allow the hose clamps to slide

underneath and securely hold the reservoir in place.
