• The maximum length of the bin sweep with a regular pump should not exceed

three straight sections. If adding more sections, you will need to upgrade your

pump.

:

• Working with pivot brackets, pivot arm, and bin sweep flighting is the same as

with the standard bin sweep. A portable chain clamp is substituted for pivot

brackets ( on page 35). A chain clamp allows quick movement of bin sweep

from auger to auger.

• This unit comes standard with over-center belt tightener on the pump. This

allows for easier starting of gas engine (Figure 4.4).

• Operate motor unit from outside working area, on as level a position as possi-

ble.

• If motor unit is tipped over when not in operation, it will likely flood cylinder

and carburetor. We suggest that you:

• Remove spark plug and replace or clean it.

• With the spark plug out, crank engine 4- 6 times to clear cylinder.
• Finally, replace the spark plug and start the engine.
• After running bin sweep momentarily, shut the unit down, and check the

hydraulic oil reservoir. Do not fill the reservoir, but leave 1/2 L (qt) of space

for oil fluctuation.

WARNING

Fire Hazard!
Grain dust is combustible; be sure motor unit

is not operated in an area with high levels of

grain dust.
