Problem Solution
Actual metering rate is different than
desired Check seed-rate chart for proper seed-cup-shaft rpms for your seeding
rate. Refer to “Seeding Rate Chart,” page 15.
Adjust flow control on hydraulic drive. Refer to “Seeding Rate Adjust-
ment,” page 14.
Calibrate flow to hydraulic drive when drill box is full of seed.
Refer to “Seeding Rate Adjustment,” page 14.
Check that seed-cup shaft is rotating is in the correct direction. If not,
reverse direction of flow to hydraulic drive by switching hoses at trac-
tor outlets. Refer to “Hydraulic Hookup,” page 11.
Add powdered graphite to the seed mixture. This helps the seed flow
more uniformly.
