HOW TO SWITCH THE DISPLAY

With the ignition switch in the ON position,
press the CAMERA button or move the shift
lever to the R (Reverse) position to operate the
Around View Monitor.

When the rear view is displayed on the left side
on the screen, the view on the right side
switches between the bird’s-eye view and the
front-side view each time the CAMERA button is
pushed.

When the front view/bird’s eye view is displayed
on the screen, pushing the CAMERA button will
switch the view on the right side to the front-side
view. When the CAMERA button is pushed
again, the screen which was displayed before
the Around View Monitor was activated is
displayed.

If the shift lever is in the R (Reverse) position, the
available views are:
. Rear view/bird’s-eye view split screen
. Rear view/front-side view split screen
If the shift lever is in the P (Park) position, the
available views are:
. Front-view/bird’s-eye view split screen
. Front-view/front-side view split screen
If the shift lever is in the D (Drive) position, the
only available view is front view/front-side view

split screen.

The display will switch from the Around View
Monitor screen when:
. When the shift lever is in the D (Drive)

position and the vehicle speed increases
above approximately 6 MPH (10 km/h).

. When a different screen is selected.

HOW TO ADJUST THE SCREEN

To adjust the Display ON/OFF, Brightness, Tint,
Color, Contrast and Black Level of the Around
View Monitor, push the SETTING button with
the Around View Monitor on, select the item key
and adjust the level using the multi-function
controller.

Do not adjust the Brightness, Tint, Color,
Contrast and Black Level of the Around View
Monitor while the vehicle is moving. Make sure
the parking brake is firmly applied.

MOVING OBJECT DETECTION (MOD)
FUNCTION

The Moving Object Detection (MOD) system
can inform the driver of moving objects when
driving out of garages, maneuvering into parking
lots and in other such instances.

The MOD system detects moving objects by
using image processing technology on the
image shown in the display.

The MOD system operates in the following
conditions when the camera view is displayed:
. When the shift lever is in the “P” or “N”

position and the vehicle is stopped, the
MOD system detects the moving objects in
the bird’s-eye view. The MOD system will
not operate if the outside mirror is moving in
or out or if either door is opened.

. When the shift lever is in the “D” position

and the vehicle speed is below approxi-
mately 5 MPH (8 km/h), the MOD system
detects moving objects in the front view.

. When the shift lever is in the “R” position

and the vehicle speed is below approxi-
mately 5 MPH (8 km/h), the MOD system
detects moving objects in the rear view. The
MOD system will not operate if the lift gate is
open.

The MOD system does not detect moving
objects in the front-side view. The MOD icon
