Connectivity settings

airplane mode

Turning on the airplane mode disables all mobile,
Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth connections. This feature is
useful when wireless connectivity is strictly
prohibited, such as on an airplane.

• To enable the airplane mode, touch or drag

the toggle switch to set Status to On.

• To disable the airplane mode and restore all

network connections, set Status to Off, and
enter your SIM PIN.

Wi-Fi

• To connect your phone to the Internet using

Wi-Fi networking:

1

Turn on Wi-Fi networking. Your phone scans
for available Wi-Fi networks.

2

Touch a Wi-Fi network to connect to. To
connect to a secure network protected by a
password, enter the password to obtain
authorized access to the network. The next
time your phone connects to the same
network, you will not be asked to enter the
password again, unless you reset your phone
to its factory settings.

3

Once your phone connects successfully to a
network, connected appears below the

network name, and the Wi-Fi icon

appears

in the system tray.

NOTE:

To connect to Wi-Fi, you need access to

a wireless point or “hotspot” within a distance of
up to 300 feet (100 meters). The range and
quality of the Wi-Fi signal is affected by the
number of connected devices, infrastructure,
and objects through which the signal passes.

• To delete a network profile from a Wi-Fi

network:

1

Touch or touch and hold a connected
network.

2

Touch delete from the context menu, or touch

the delete icon

from the application bar.
