CAUTION: Before working inside your computer, follow the safety instructions in the
XFR D630 Product Information Guide and in the
XFR D630 User’s Guide.

NOTICE: To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by
periodically touching an unpainted metal surface (such as a connector on the back of the
computer).

1. Follow the instructions in

121H

Before You Begin.

2. Remove the display assembly (see

122H

Removing the Display Assembly).

NOTE: Ensure the display cable grommets were removed by following the grommet removal
instructions provided in

123H

Removing the Display Assembly at step 13.

3. Remove the display bezel (see

124H

Removing the Display Bezel).

4. Remove hinges. Remove 3 M2.5 x 5-mm screws from each side of the display panel and

remove the hinge from each side.

CAUTION:

To avoid damage to your display panel, handle the panel by the bracket tabs

only.

5. Pull the LVDS cable thru the rubber grommet in the LVDS/antenna cable assembly, near the

right side hinge. These antenna cables are part of the back cover assembly and must be
separated from the LVDS cable to allow removal of the Display Panel.
