Removing the Optical Drive
1.
Follow the procedures in
Before Working Inside Your Computer
.
2.
Disconnect the power and data cables from the optical drive.
3.
Pull up the drive release latch and slide the optical drive towards the back of the computer.
4.
Lift the optical drive up and away from the computer.
Replacing the Optical Drive
To replace the optical drive, perform the above steps in reverse order.
