5.

Align the new Mini PCI card with the connector at a 45-degree angle, and press the Mini PCI card into the connector.

 

6.

Connect the antenna cables from the computer to the antenna connectors on the Mini PCI card.

 

7.

Lower the Mini PCI card toward the inner tabs to approximately a 20-degree angle.

 

8.

Continue lowering the Mini PCI card until it snaps into the inner tabs of the connector.

 

9.

Ensure that the cables are positioned so that they will not be pinched when you replace the cover.

 

10.

Replace the cover.

 

Optical Devices

Your computer ships with an optical drive installed in the module bay. You can install an M2 x 3-mm optical device security screw in the bay, if desired, to make
the device more difficult to remove.

 

NOTICE:

In the next step, ensure that the antenna cables extend over the edge of the computer, so that they are not trapped beneath the new Mini

PCI card.

NOTICE:

The connectors are keyed for correct insertion; do not force the connections.

NOTICE:

If the Mini PCI card cover is difficult to close, remove the card and reinstall it. Forcing the cover to close may damage your computer.
