Installing a Heat Sink/Shroud

1 Use a lint-free cloth, remove thermal grease from the heat sink.
2 Apply new thermal grease evenly to the center of the top new processor.

3 Position heat sink/shroud assembly at a slight tilt to insure shroud is

inserted below the sled flange (see final installed view), then lower the

assembly onto the four supporting posts on the motherboard .

4 Align the four screws of the heatsink to the four threaded posts and tighten

the four screws .

CAUTION:

Using excess thermal grease can cause grease to contact the

processor shield, which can cause contamination of the processor socket.
