Removing Palm Rest

Follow the procedures in
Before Working Inside Your Computer
.
2.
During installation or removal of ANY hardware, always ensure all data is backed up properly.
3.
Remove the battery, hinge cover, keyboard, optical drive, and LCD assembly from the system.
4.
Remove the nine screws that secure the palm rest to the bottom of the computer.
5.
Turn the computer over.
6.
Remove the three screws that secure the palm rest to the top of the computer.
7.
Disconnect the palm rest cable from the system board.
8.
Disconnect the palm rest cable from the system board.
9.
Carefully remove the palm rest from the computer.
