While the camcorder is in Standby mode, slide NIC.I ITSHOT to ON.

Press SI ART/STOP to start recording.

To cancel the NightShot function

Slide NIGHTSHOT to OFF.

Using the NightShot light

When you .set N.S.TIGl IT to ON in the menu system, the picture will be more clear.
NightShot t.ight rays are infrared and are therefore inyisible. The maximum limit o
NightShot light is about 3 m.

Notes on the NightShot

• Do not use the NightShot function in bright places (ex. outdoors).

This may cause your camcorder to malfunction.

• The following functions are not operable when using the .NightShot function.

- PROtiRAM AF
- Exposure

• When you keep setting NIGHTSHOT to ON in normal recording, picture may be

recorded in incorrect/unnatural color.

• If focusing is difficult with the autofocus mode when using the NightShot funclioi

use manual focus.
