To save battery power

Turn ST/WDIA down u'hen not recording to sa\ e batter\- pou er.
A smoi'tb transition between scenes can be made e\’en if recording is stopptni and
started again. While \ ou are positioning the subject, selecting an angle, or looking
through ihi' \ iewtinder lens, the lens mo\ es autoniaticalK and the batter\- is used. Tht'
battery is also used when a tape is inserted or remo\ ed.

Be sure and reirun e the batterx' pack aftt'r using thi' t'amcordt'i'.

When to replace the battery pack

While you are using \x>ur camcorder, the remaining batter\' indicator dt'creases
gradually as batterx power is used up. Remaining time in minutes appears.

When the remaining batlerx’ indicator reaches the lowest point, the indicator may
appear and start flashing in the x'ievvfinder.
When the <\i indicator changes from slow flashing to rapid flashing while you are
recording, set the POWKR switch to OFF on the camcorder and replace the battery pad
I,cave the tape in the camcorder to obtain a smooth transition between scenes after the
battery pack has been replaced.
