To stop using the built-in light
Slide I.IGHT UUDI F.
To turn on the built-in light automatically
Slide LIGHT to AUTO.
The built-in light automaticallv turns on and oft according to the ambient brightness.
1 lowever, it the built-in liglit turns on tor more than about 3 minutes, it automatically
turns off. In this case, turn STANDBY down once and turn it up again.
Notes
•The balterv pack is quicklv discharging while the built-in light is turned (ма. Slide
LICl IT to OF T when not in use.
• When you do not use the camc(.)rder, slide IdGHT to OTP and remove the battery pa<.
to avoid turning on the built-in light accidentally.
• When flickering occurs when you shoot white and laright subjects in AUTO mode,
slide LIGHT to ON.
•The built-in light may turn on/off when you use the PROCiRAM AT or BACK I IGH I
function.
• When inserting or ejecting a cassette, the built-in light may be turned off.
CAUTION
Be careful not to touch the lighting section, because the plastic window and
surrounding surfaces are hot while the light is on. It remains hot for a while after
the light is turned off.
