Signing Up for WebTV
Signing Up
Signing up for WebTV is as easy as filling out a short application form. When
you complete the last page, you will be given the opportunity to correct any
mistakes. After you finish, the WebTV Home Page appears and you are ready
to begin your Internet experience. Should you have any difficulty signing-up,
please call 1-800-GOWEBTV.
If you are connected through a VCR,
you must turn on the VCR and select
external input before accessing the
Internet.
During the sign-up process, you are
asked to provide the following
information:
j Name
□ Billing address
u Phone number
□ Credit card information
□ An Internet name (which acts as
your e-mail address)
1 Press TV to turn on 3 'our television. See Programming the Remote on
page 30.
2 Press WEB to display the first sign-up page.
Note
The first time you connect to the WebTV Netivork, your Internet Terminal takes
a minute or more to make the connection.
3 Press to display the on-screen keyboard.
4 Type the required information in each text box. If a page contains more
than one text box, highlight CONTINUE on the on-screen keyboard and
press to move to the next text box.

5 When vou complete a page, press BACK on the remote to hide the
keyboard, then highlight the CONTINUE command and press to
move to tlie next page.

Repeat steps 4 and 5 until you have entered all of the required
information.
Note
The sign-up pages will reappear each time you turn on your Internet Terminal until
you complete the sign-up process.
