CCA Filter

A Super 8 type 8mm movie camera is usually

designed for daylight shooting outdoors, using

tungsten type film. Therefore, a CCA filter is built

into the optical path of the lens to provide color

temperature adjustment. When shooting indoors

with artificial light, the CCA filter has to be

removed from the optical path for the correct

color temperature to be obtained. When G-type

film, for both daylight and artificial light, and

when daylight film are loaded in this camera, the

filter is automatically cancelled because it is not

necessary.
