8. Checking the Recording Levei
To check the recording level, depress the
shutter lever
O
half\«ay. If the recording
level indicator ® in the viewfinder blinks
clearly on and off with each sound made,
then you may begin filming (i.e., the sound
will record correctly). However, if the record
ing level indicator flashes only sporadically
or not at all, move in closer to the source of
sound.
A word of caution: Sometimes when you
have zoomed in on your subject it appears
quite close. But the microphone can’t catch
far away subjects as the lens can. Again,
