Keep these points in mind whiie you
position the microphone:
1) The microphone picks up sounds
from all directions. Keep it at least
one meter (3.3 ft.) away from the
camera so that it does not pick up
the sound of the fiim drive.
2) Position it as ciosely as possibie to
your subject. The ideai is to have an
assistant hold it. Instruct him not to
pat, rub, puil (the cord) or swing it
since these actions wili produce
static or other disturbing noises in
the recording.
3) If you must film alone, use the
microphone stand or clip which
come with the camera. You can clip
