TILT ONLY OR RECLINE ONLY
FUNCTION NOT WORKING

1. Check actuator speed controls. Rotate clockwise to increase speed.

2. Toggle Attendant controls (See Seating System Operation Section)

3. If the Attendant controls function the Optima™, a problem may exist with
the toggle switch or ALM.

4. If the Attendant controls do not function the Optima™, check the
connections on the connectors. Make sure the metal contact pins are
inserted all the way.

5. If the pins are pushed in all the way, ensure that the leads coming from
the base measure 24 VDC.

6. If the 24 VDC voltage is measured from the main power lead from the
base, reconnect this main power lead, and check for proper voltage at each
motor output lead. (NOTE: You will need to toggle the attendant controls
for the appropriate motor to measure the voltage accurately.)

RECLINE ONLY OR TILT/RECLINE NOT WORKING

Recline limit not working properly
1. Recline limit switch may have been moved or disconnected.
(Reference Seating System Operation Limit Specifications Section)

2. Check connections for limit switch #1 and check wire for any kinks or cuts.

3. Swap the recline limit switch with the DLO switch to verify that the
recline limit switch is not defective.

DRIVE LOCK OUT MALFUNCTION

1. Disconnect the main power leads connecting the Optima™ System to the
power

base.

2. Install a jumper wire between the blue and black connectors on the cable
extending from the power base. You should be able to drive the power
base, however, the Optima™ System will not function.

3. If the base does not drive, call the manufactur of the power base.
(NOTE: Make sure the blue and black connectors are jumped.)

4. If the base drives, check the drive lockout limit switch to make sure it has
not moved from original position. (Reference Seating System Operation
Limit Specifications Section) If the switch has not been moved, and there
are no visual indications of a problem with the cables or switch, it is
possible that the Limit Harness needs to be replaced. Take your Optima™
System to your local dealer.
