! When returning the seats to their original
position, it is important to proceed in the
following order:
R third-row seats
R outboard second-row seats
R second-row middle seat (7-seat vehicles)
Otherwise, you could damage the seats.
Third-row seats
2 Release handle
3 Seat backrest
7 Seat cushion
8 Strap
! Do not fold up seat cushion 7 before
folding seat backrest 3 , as this could
damage the upholstery.
X Reach into strap 8 and pull seat backrest
3 into a vertical position.
X Pull release handle 2 and adjust seat
backrest 3 to desired position.
X Move seat cushion 7 to a vertical position.
X Fold seat cushion 7 towards the seat
backrest 3 until it audibly engages.
Outboard second-row seats
1 Seat backrest
2 Head restraint
3 Releas lever
X Pull release lever 3 past the resistance
point as far as it will go and move up the
seat backrest 1 to an angle of
approximately 45°.
X Install the head restraint 2 ( Y page 105).
X Adjust the seat backrest 1 to the desired
position ( Y page 104).
X Check whether the seat is properly locked,
see “Lock status indicators (outboard
second-row seats)” (
Y page 214).
X Adjust the seat fore or aft to the desired
position (
Y page 104).
