Switching the FH-100 head to manual mode
The head can be operated manually by a camera operator using the pan bars to control pan and
tilt movements. Hand controls can be fitted to the pan bar handles to control the camera lens
and an additional hand-control unit may be installed to automate switching between remote and
manual lens controls.
Manual mode disengages the robotic drives and engages the drag modules. Pan and tilt axes
can be independently set to manual (MAN) mode by turning the relevant pan or tilt rotary switch
fully clockwise, and then rotating the axis until the drag module engages (Fig. 18).
WARNING!
The FH-100 head can be operated remotely from a control panel.
Ensure that the control panel operator does not attempt to select the
camera whilst a camera operator is operating the head manually!
NOTE: The head must be rebalanced whenever equipment is removed or added, or the
pan bar handles are adjusted (see Balancing the head and payload on page 25).
