Adjusting the pan and tilt drag
Both the pan and tilt mechanisms on the Fusion FH-100 head incorporate the patented Vinten
lubricated friction (LF) system to ensure smooth movement of the camera about these axes
which are fitted with dials to adjust the drag setting. The drag adjustment dials are mounted
directly on each axis. The pan drag adjustment dial [4] is located beneath the camera cradle [1]
and the tilt drag adjustment dial [21] above the connections on the side of the head (see
Components and connections on pages 11 and 12).
To increase drag, turn the appropriate dial clockwise and to decrease drag, turn the dial anti-
clockwise
as shown in Fig. 19.
NOTE: The whip-pan facility is not affected by the pan drag setting.
