Edit-Recording from Compact Discs

(continued)

Fit editing (J. FiT)

The system specifies the track order that fits on tape side "A".

Like the sequential CD recording, first the system estimates thé

length of the cassette tape. After making an estimate, the cassette

deck starts recording to calculate the actual tape length.

If the amount of blank tape is too great, the compact disc player

selects a different track order that best fits on tape side "A", and

then the cassette deck rewinds the tape side A to the point where

re-recording will start.
