Tape-to-tape recording
Preparations:
® Press Standby/on switch to turn the unit on.
(D The leader tape must be wound on beforehand. page 39)
@ Insert a tape into each deck.
DECK 1: For playback
DECK 2: For recording
Press [REV MODE] to select the reverse mode.
One side will record, then recording will stop auto­
matically.
czlb: Both sides will record (forward side-»reverse side),
then recording will stop automatically.
Set the tape direction “t>” of deck 1 and 2.
Press [DECK 1/2] and confirm both deck’s tape directions are

The tape direction indicator (“<3’’ or “O”) shows deck 2 direction.
If either deck 1 or deck 2 stops, the other deck also stops.
To stop recording
Press [■].
Both decks will stop.
To display the tape counter while recording
Press [COUNTER DISPLAY).
The tape counter will be displayed for approximately 5 seconds.
To enjoy another source while recording
Start playing the other sound source.
You can change the volume, sound quality and surround effect with­
out affecting the recording.
The recording level and the noise reduction effect of the original
(playback) tape will be recorded on the new tape.
