9. Troubleshooting and Maintenance
Clearing a recording paper jam
If the unit does not release any recording paper during reception or copying, the recording paper has
jammed. Remove the jammed paper by following the steps below.
STOP button
Green bar
0 Slide the lever toward you to open the top
cover.
Q Remove the jammed paper carefully.

Cut off the wrinkled portion.
0 Replace the recording paper roll in the proper
direction, and insert the leading edge of the
paper under the green bar.
—Make sure that there is no slack in the paper
roll.
—If the recording paper cannot be inserted,
press the STOP button to reset the paper
cutter and insert the paper again.

Close the cover carefully by gently pressing
down on both ends.
Clearing a document jam
If the unit does not release an original document during feeding, remove the jammed document by following
the steps below.
0 Slide the lever toward you to open the top
cover.
0 Remove the jammed document carefully.
