Panel Descriptions
This section explains the basic layout of the front and rear panels of your new
Aviom product. The diagrams on the previous pages can be used as a quick
visual guide to the location of the components of the AV‑M8 mentioned in
this section.
AV-M8 Front Panel
The front panel of the AV‑M8 contains eight individual channel input strips.
All input channels can be used with mic‑level sources; inputs 1 and 2 include
a Pad switch to allow line‑level sources to be used.
The inputs on the AV‑M8 use 5.0 mm Euroblock connectors and can accept
balanced or unbalanced audio signals. Male Euroblock jacks are provided.

The AV-M8 channel input strips
Audio Inputs
The numbered channel strips on the AV‑M8 front panel correspond to the
eight analog audio inputs.
Mic-Level Inputs
The AV‑M8 is designed to accept microphone‑level signals from dynamic or
condenser microphones. Phantom power (+48V) is available on each channel
for use with condenser mics.
