4.1.6 Closing the Cutting Mill
1. Before closing the cutting mill, clean the cutting chamber, the
contact surfaces of the housing, and in particular the closing
surfaces of the lock.
2. Slowly swing the upper housing (2) closed until it rests on the
housing base (10).
3. Close the cover flap (6).
4. Latch clamp (13) lock.
5. Set the main switch (19) on the back of the instrument to 0
(OFF).
6. Check whether the rotor (3) turns freely:
Remove the cap from the central hole in the cover flap (6).
Insert the enclosed Allen key into the central hole in the cover
flap (6). Now turn the Allen key to check whether the rotor (3)
turns freely.
Immediately pull the Allen key back out!
If the rotor (3) does not turn freely, do as described in chapter
4.1.3.
This check must be performed every time the rotor (3), the
stationary knives (4,5,9) or the sieve cassette (7) are
changed!
4.1.7 Selecting and Changing the Funnel
4.1.7.1 Selecting the Funnel
The standard funnel (1) is used for loose and pourable materials.
The protected funnel (22) is used for all other materials.
4.1.7.2 Changing from the Standard Funnel to the Protected Funnel
1. Close the cutting mill.
2. Close the funnel lid (16).
3. Set the main switch (19) on the back of the instrument to 0
(OFF).
4. Unplug the mains plug (20).
