Radius Server Installation and Configuration

2.1 Radius Server Installation

To install the Radius server:

Use the included mounting hardware to mount the server in a safe,
temperature controlled location.

Caution:

The Radius server is equipped with an active temperature monitoring system.
To ensure proper operation of the Radius server, please ensure that the
ambient temperature not exceed 100 degrees farhenheit.

Connect UPS battery backup and power.

Caution:

The server must be connected to a UPS battery backup to prevent damage
from inadvertant power sources.

If desired, connect the server to the LAN using a standard CAT 5 ethernet
cable.

Note:

For more information, see “Connect to the Radius Server via Microsoft® Remote
Desktop” on page 13.

If desired, connect the server to a local monitor, keyboard, and mouse.

Power on the Radius server.
