BENCHMARK 2.0LN DUAL-FUEL SWITCHOVER INSTRUCTIONS

SWITCHOVER FROM PROPANE TO NATURAL GAS

To switch from Propane to Natural Gas operation, proceed as follows:

1. Refer to Figure K-1 and locate the Fuel Selector Switch on the unit, behind the front

door.

2. Set the Fuel Selector Switch to the NATURAL GAS position. A Low Gas pressure Fault

message will be displayed on the Control Box.

3. Clear the Low Gas Pressure Fault by pressing the CLEAR key.
4. Apply AC power to the Benchmark 2.0LN Dual-Fuel Boiler
5. Press the MENU key once. Setup Menu will be displayed.
6. Press the ▲ arrow key once. Password will be displayed.
7. Press the CHANGE key. Password will begin to flash.
8. Using the ▲ arrow key, increment the display and stop at 159.
9. Press the ENTER key to store the displayed password.
10. Password 1 will be displayed, indicating that the valid Level 1 password has been

stored.

11. Next, access the Configuration Menu by pressing the MENU key once.
12. Using the ▲ and ▼ arrow keys, scroll through the Configuration Menu and stop at Fuel

Type

.

13. Press the CHANGE key. The Fuel Type will begin to flash.
14. Press the ▼ arrow key and toggle the display to Natural Gas.
15. Press the ENTER key to select Natural Gas.
16. Finally, remove the top panel and front door from the boiler to access the Natural Gas

and Propane Gas Trains of the unit.

17. .Refer to Figure K-3 and locate the 1/4” Ball Valves on the downstream (outlet) side of

the Safety Shutoff Valves (SSOVs) for the Natural Gas and Propane Gas Trains. These
Ball Valves are used to turn on and turn off the gas flow between the Natural Gas
/Propane SSOV’s and the Staged Ignition Assembly of the unit.

18. Open the Natural Gas Ball Valve shown in the center-left portion of Figure K-3.
19. Close the Propane Ball Valve near the top portion of Figure K-3.
20. Replace the top panel and front door on the boiler.
21. This completes the steps necessary to switch from Propane to Natural Gas to operation.
