NOTE: Some foods are started using a timed (COOK) cycle and finished by
using the temperature (PROBE TEMP) cycle. You can set PROBE TEMP to
follow COOK 1 or COOK 2 to avoid the need to reset the oven halfway

through the cycle. PROBE TEMP can be programmed with the temperature

probe out. The oven will pause between COOK 1 or COOK 2 and PROBE

TEMP. “PROB” will show on the Display to remind you to plug in the probe.

Changing the temperature setting

• When using the Temperature Probe, PROBE TEMP settings can be changed

before or during operation:

- Touch PROBE TEMP
-Touch number for new temperature.
- Touch START. The oven wiii continue cooking to the new temperature,

if the new temperature is iower than the temperature of the food, the

oven wiii shutoff.

Temperature probe cooking tips

For casseroies, the tip

of the probe should

be in the center of the

food. Stir foods when

recommended.
Repiace the probe.

For liquids, baiance

the probe on a
wooden spoon or
spatuia so the tip of
the probe is in the
center of the iiquid.

For roasts, the tip of

the probe shouid be

in the center of the
iargest muscie, but
not touching fat or
bone.

• Casseroies cooked using the Tem­

perature Probe shouid be made

from precooked foods. Do not use

raw meats, raw vegetabies and

cream sauces in casseroies.

• Dry casseroies do not work weii.
• Thaw frozen casseroies and meats

in the microwave oven before
inserting the probe.

• if you are cooking individuai sen/-

ings such as mugs of soup, check

the probe setting in severai of the

items - aii the mugs may not heat

at the same rate.

• Dry meat ioaf mixtures don't work

weii.

• Remember that roasts may vary in

size, shape and composition. Use
the timings for minutes per pound
as a guide as weii as the Tem­
perature Probe.

Cleaning the probe

1. Remove probe from microwave oven using hot pads.
2. Wipe probe with a hot sudsy cloth. Use a plastic scouring pad to remove

stubborn foods.

3. Probe may be placed in the silvenvare basket of the dishwasher.
