I. TROUBLE SHOOTING
General Trouble Shooting
CAUTtON: .
Always disconnect the dishwashers from the electrical power source before adjusting or replacing
components.
PROBLEM
POSSIBLE CAUSE
ACTION
Dishes not clean.
Dishwasher will not
operate when turned on..
Dishwasher automatically
repeats with door latched
Dishwasher runs with
door open
1. No power to dishwasher.
2 Open circuit between power source
and timer
3-, Loose terminal connections at door
switch arrd/or timer terminals,
4. Defective door switch
5. Defective selector switch.
6. Defective timer motor circuits.
7 Defective start switch.
8. Main motor defective.
1, Start switch contacts sticking ciosed.
2- A grounded timer motor combined with
reverse polarity connection at junction
box Of wall receptacle causing the "hot"
side of the circuit to bypass "off
switches in the timer.
3, Grounded thermostat with reverse
polarity
4, Broken slides inside of selector switch
(rapid advance timer only).
1. Door switch defective.
2. Terminals shorted to each other at the
door switch,
3. Latching handle turned to the "ON"
position.
Grounded elsctricsl component

connection at function box or wall
receptacle.

1. Check electrical outlet or connection
to junction box on built-in,
2 Check wiring and/or povs'er cords,.
3. Repair as needed,
4. Check continuity.

4, Refer to wiriftg diagram and check
selector switch circuitry.
1. Check continuity.
2. Repiace defective parts.
3. Check safety tab, which prevents
turning handle Into run position with
door open.
4. Replace defective component. Refer
to Installation Instruction for proper
electrical connection and grounding
of power receptacle.
