8.2 Serial Interface
8.2.1 Standard Serial Interface Connector (RS232C)
The PC104 board has a standard serial interface for connecting to peripherals. The configuration is done by the
application software.

Baudrate 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, 19 200, 38 400 or 57 600 baud
Data format 8 bit no parity OR 7 bit even parity OR 7 bit odd parity
Start / Stop bit 1 start bit and 1stop bit
The connection of the standard RS232C of the instrument should be made as given in the table below.

You have to connect each TXD (output) with RXD (input) at the other end.
8.2.2 Optional Serial Interface Connector (RS232C, RS485)
Additional serial interfaces can be added to the weighing board in addition to the standard RS232C port.
The optional serial interfaces are suitable for bi-directional communication. If you transmit ASCII codes of P, Z,
T or C letters to the serial interface, the indicator will behave like the related keys have been pressed.
If optional serial interfaces are installed, only continuous data output can be programmed for more than one
interface (see chapter 8.2.5 for setup details).
