Creating Connections
Note The GigaStack GBIC supports setting a trunk to IEEE 802.1Q or Inter-Switch
Link (ISL) encapsulation. All GigaStack GBIC interfaces in the cascaded stack
should be configured as trunk interfaces (switchport mode trunk interface
configuration command) and to use the same encapsulation method (switchport
trunk encapsulation {isl | dot1q} interface configuration command). For more
information on these commands, refer to the command reference for your switch.
