The recoil springs are compressed. guard the recoil springs and guide with
your thumb to control the release of spring tension. uncontrolled release
can cause injury. Wear eye protection.

8.4 Pistol assembly
1. Verify the pistol is clear of all foreign matter.
2. insert the barrel into the slide.
3. install inner and outer recoil springs on recoil spring guide. recoil
springs are the same dimension on either end.
4. insert the recoil spring guide assembly into the slide.
imPoRtant: for optimum performance, the inner and outer recoil springs
should be replaced every 5,000 rounds.
