6.4.3. Altitude Select Mode
Sync the altimeter before performing
altitude select (see section 6.1)
The
altitude
select
mode
allows
the
user
to
select
a
target
altitude
above
or
below
the
current
altitude,
as
well
as
a
vertical
speed
to
transition
to
that
altitude.
This
mode
is
accessed
by
pressing
the
ALT
button.
With
autopilot
engaged,
press
ALT,
rotate
the
KNOB
to
select
target
altitude,
press
the
KNOB,
select
vertical
speed,
press
the
KNOB.
The
sequence
for
entering
altitude
select
is
shown
in
Figure
6.4.3a
