Gyro
Set
Mode
This
mode
allows
the
autopilot
to
re-­‐center
the
internal
gyros.
This
can
often
help
to
correct
a
drift
in
one
or
more
axes.
This
procedure
does
not
need
to
be
performed
on
every
flight.
It
can
be
done
once
after
the
initial
installation
of
the
autopilot,
but
should
not
need
to
be
repeated.
6.6.1. Performing
a
Gyro
Set
HOLD
THE
AIRCRAFT
STATIONARY
THROUGHOUT
THIS
PROCEDURE!
To
perform
a
gyro
set,
make
sure
the
autopilot
is
fully
powered
up
and
showing
AP
OFF
on
the
display.
Press
and
hold
the
KNOB
for
about
45
seconds.
During
this
time
the
display
will
show
GYRO
SET.
Once
45
seconds
has
elapsed,
release
the
KNOB.
The
procedure
is
complete.
