6.4.4. Altitude  Pre-­‐Select  Mode  

Sync  the  altimeter  before  performing  

altitude  pre-­‐select  (see  section  6.1)

 

 
The   altitude   pre-­‐select   mode   allows   the   user   to   pre-­‐select   a  

target   altitude   before   takeoff.     Once   engaged,   the   autopilot   will  
proceed  in  a  climb  to  the  selected  target  altitude  and  synchronize  to  
the   current   vertical   speed.     This   mode   is   accessed   by   pressing   the  
ALT  button  once  while  the  autopilot  is  disengaged.      

 

From  autopilot  disengaged,  press   ALT  button,  rotate  the  KNOB  

to  select  target  altitude,  press  the  KNOB.    The  sequence  for  entering  
an  altitude  pre-­‐select  is  shown  in  figure  6.4.4a.  

 

1)    500  foot  increments  when  turning  the  KNOB.  
 
2)   100   foot   increments   when   pressing   and   holding   the   KNOB   in  

while  turning  it.    

 

Press  ALT  

 

Rotate  KNOB
