UNSATISFACTORY CONDITIONS: CAUSES AND REMEDIES
THE UPPER THREAD BREAKS
CAUSE
REMEDY
1. The needle is not threaded correctly.
2. The tension is too tigh t.
3. Something is wrong with the needle.
4. The thread used is too heavy for the needle.
5. Thread take-up spring is broken.
6. The needle is not set correctly.
7. The needle plate, the hook, or tlie presser foot is damaged.
Thread the needle correctly.
Loosen it.

THE LOWER THREAD BREAKS
1. When the lower thread is not wound correctly, it gets entangled
2. Ihe lower thread is off the tension spring of the bobbin case.
